Without a doubt, yoga can relieve stress, sculpt and lengthen muscles, keep you feeling stretchy-strong, and help you lose weight. But, one of the most profound benefits of yoga is its ability to nurture your spirit, root down, and awaken your authentic, playful, five year-old self. I often refer to “spiritual fitness” or “flexing your muscle of mindfulness”, while setting my class intention, allowing “what is” to happen in body, mind and spirit. Spiritually Fit Yoga is a place where I can share my world as a passionate yoga instructor.

During my Baron Baptiste yoga teacher training, “The Four Agreements” by Don Miguel Ruiz was often referred to as a guide to living with integrity. I started re-reading this book today and found the words helpful, inspiring, and soothing, so I wanted to share this with you. When we take our yoga practice into our lives, off the mat, the yoga truly starts working and taking root inside our entire being.
A few of you have asked if backyard yoga is happening today and, YES, the forecast continues to cooperate (66 and sunny at 6pm…perfect!) so my backyard will be our yoga studio tonight! If you don’t know the address, email me at email@example.com before 5pm today. See you tonight!:)
